Rocket City Roller Derby (RCRD), as one of the 20 founding members of the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA), is a 501(c)(3) non-profit recreational league dedicated to the thrilling sport of full-contact roller derby. Since 2004, our league has been bringing athletes of all skill levels together, promoting teamwork, fitness, and empowerment through this dynamic and fast-paced sport. At RCRD, we foster a supportive and inclusive community where skaters, officials, and fans alike can experience the excitement and camaraderie of roller derby. We are proud to be from Huntsville, Alabama, a city whose scientific contributions have sent astronauts to the moon, earning it the nickname “The Rocket City.” As Huntsville’s premier roller derby league, we believe in the progress, ambition, and forward-thinking character of our home.
